Yes, if you're running it on the 650, you would need to drill out the pressed-in jets and change the needle and seat to a larger size, or it will run lean.

the sbn is just a much better carb soo people get rid of the bn for that very reason

No. It's just "updated" in design, and has changeable jets, so it can readily be used on a wider range of cc's. Doesn't work any better.

got the sbn44 dialed in, ran it all day Sunday without incident . Hopefully the unpredictable NJ weather will stay decent for couple more weeks

picked up over sized gas tank on ebay , besides holding more and fitting around pipe better also balanced out ski alot better. stock tank touching the pipe with just motorcycle inner tube for protection made the tank sit a lil to the right causing the ski to lean and pull to the right pretty bad. also made a block off plate for the fill
