Got an extendo nozzle printed from a buddy. Absolutely ridiculous. Also got my impeller in and shimmed. Stupid me never looked.... Ski came with a straight pitch 16Skat. Could have just got that repitched....IDIOT

Ride plate and what not all buttoned up
1000003555.jpg

Made a battery tie down out of some random stuff I had. 5200'd down bilge pump. Put in a bilge fitting, plumbed it, and a pisser.

Failed to take a picture but got my Rutland racing Kawi manifold adapter, plumbed the exhaust with a 180 and whatever nonsense silicone and stainless I had laying around.

So did a 1 night full assembly and finish.
Rode all my buddies stock jammers on Wednesday. I was SO motivated... Wanna ride mine this weekend. Hopefully it all works on the water.

Ripped two motor mounts day one!

But omg it rips!

Needs some tuning work, needs some more motor mounts but it's a dream. Runs 40mph currently. Want some more, I think the 17/20 skat is a little too short.

So full update.

Had a weekend AirBnb with the buddies for JetFest
Cool pic of me on the SN from a buddy on the wake boat

Friday afternoon did a mild break in on the jammer putted around a bit. Retorqued the cyl head, definitely a must do for me stock HG it budged A LOT.

Got to ripping on it, it's an absolute riot of a ski, we had a pretty secluded cove. It was perfect back there. Took it out in the deep water... But seemed every time something broke... So stopped doing that, miserable anyway in the chop with the 133.. but also realizing the pump is so far forward on the ski is a big issue with it. Kinda makes me want to try and rear rocker one in the future. Definitely wanna find a nice grate as a temp fix.

So let's go through the issues I faced.... Let me premise with this thing successfully ran nearly 3 tank fulls through it. It got ROMPED on all weekend long gang banged by the boys.

Big one, headpipe gasket to manifold loosened up, bearing and banging around in the chop made it run weird came back to all 3 backing out. I only rtv'd them, didn't do loctite for some reason and was kinda loose on the torque initially, didn't wanna strip the manifold. Got some Harbor freight loctite for $2.88 and cranked them on. They never loosened up again. (Still tight just now) But the gasket was cooked, also looks like I didn't center it well out in the field. It ran fine rest of the day, temp strips never went over 140, but pisser water was HOT, and tons of bubble smoke show, late to have water out the pisser every startup.

Other major issue... Ripped 2 motor mounts, I had already swapped the other 2 out go figure. Lady thankfully had to go home to grab something anyway, grabbed my box of couch mounts. Life saver thankfully was the intake side. EZ PZ

Water Ingress, she's a drinker, really seemed to start after the manifold episode, I couldn't visibly see anything spraying revving it on the stand, but could be a totally different story WOT on water. Water also seems to get trapped in the back, bilge pumps up front, so if you submarine the thing, it takes forever to get that water out organically, and I really rode it like an idiot the full time. Gonna start with the exhaust gasket repair and go from there.

Now that I've taken it apart another few little issues, made myself a todo list, alot of it is stuff I just ran out of time and wanted to circle back and do better. Namely a crack in the hood, Bendix was acting up sometimes, and can't stand that stupid old Killswitch, lost a bumper sadly.

A sheet metal gasket will prevent bolts from
loosening since they don’t collapse. Someone on eBay is selling new OEM style exhaust gaskets for Kawasaki’s.

Failed to take to many pictures

But knocked out the list and some changes!

Put a drain plug in the back, randomly procured a Coffman b1 style pipe, got it fit up with a seadoo 717 cone see how it does. No more manifold adapter. New Bendix, redid some of the exhaust hose

See what it do!
