1200 Super Jet

I am so excite I can not sleep; I have started my 2007 build for the upcoming session. I am going to build a 1200 Waterdawgs motor using my current Super Jet hull. Jeff at Waterdawgs has been great to work with and I believe has the most innovative power plant on the market. Waterdawgs has machined my 66e crank and Jeff is working on my cases. The goal is to have everything ready for Lanier and Jeff is going personally tune my new motor. I am very imprested with Jeff and Waterdawgs so far. I will post more pics as I get them.

I've seen that ski before. it belonged to a pro (i think) then someone else bought it, cracked the nose. painted the nose black and sold it on ebay...

am I right?

who was the owner that had it painted? isn't that a blowsion paint job?

No, That was Chris maros boat initally (built and painted by Maros), then squid bought it. He cracked the nose on a sub and took it to Maros for repairs and Maros painted the nose black b/c redoing metal flake would just be a royal PIA.

sub

I was performing at the Chicago Air and Water show and did a "Super Shwab Squid Sub" and hit a sand bar. The worst part was swimming my sunk boat to shore as the crowed laughed at me. Anything for my fans.

Chris Maros then rebuilt the front of the boat and re-enforce everything. The result is a very heavy hull that is almost indestructible built by the master himself.

it arrived

My engine hit the office today and I am so excited.:bananajump: I have a lot of work ahead of me but with some help from Riverrat I am hopeful. I am very impressed with the 1200, it is absolutely huge and comes in at 104 pounds. I will post as the build comes together.

That thing is sweet!!!! And I was impressed to see that the 1200 fit better than a 701 with a b-pipe!! And to top off all of that it only weights about 10-15lbs more than my lamey motor w/ electronics, exhaust and carbs. :djsmilie: Can't wait to get that thing on the water. we still have several parts to order for the ski but it looks like it will be a pretty simple build. That motor fits perfect!! Don't even have to move the battery :Banane57:

That looks awesome. And I noticed the pipe we need Jeff to build a pipe like that for the regular SJ motor. That is what I don't understand/like about the factory pipe all the spent exhaust is suppose to flow out a 47mm opening at the end of the manifold. And your feeding the motor with twin 48's.. just don't make since to me when a dry pipe has a 70 mm opening
