Interesting that DASA is running the 62t style still. Guess it makes it easier for the guys who don't wanna buy all new intakes, reeds, etc.

something tells me you don't know much about motors. that statement seems kind of derogatory btw. what's the point of this question out of curiosity?

it's way heavier. i have a thread from a year or two ago with the weights of the xs1000, powervalve polaris 1000, and a gen 2 wdk 1200. the wdk was 20lbs heavier then the xs1000. if jeff hasn't updated the pistons in his motor. which according to weisco he hasn't even placed an ordef since 07 or 09. they weigh a ton. i'm in no way defending a 62t motor because i think the 66 is a much better platform. with some of the new sled motors at the top of the game. :p

I have ridden both a dasa 1200 and xmetal 1200 they are both very powerful but each in their own way kind of a personal preference
How did they differ? in my opinion. Xs motors hit harder off idle then fall off sooner. And dasa motors come on a bit later but pull harder and longer.

they all can be setup differently. i hate xmetal because of pat. but i'll give credit where it's due. right now in our jetski community i think there xs1200 is prolly the best one available over here.

I think it's all about having a motor set up right both of them are more power than I can manage and I have less than 10 min on the xs1200 but I will be able to give more input about a week from now

I was not very conservative on Tricky's 1200. A handful of throttle gave me a nice view of a Superfreak with a pretty sky background.
