Thanks DJ! I wish I had repaired or replaced my camera long before then, and it would have turned out better. I’m still very happy to have at least one, and it sure is a far cry from the fairy snow castle images. Loved your video btw, and hope you get another one before the ice melts (you shouldn’t miss that opp). Now where is Ray hiding Deb please ??? She has to at least make a Christmas post!

You could do this Dj (we all know you like to dress up in costume):

you need nine stand-ups and one sitdown. Ray and Deb could be dressed as Santa and Mrs. Clause on the sitdown, with brightly colored gift boxes wrapped and overflowing (collected blankets and stuffed animals for your local homeless shelter). The nine stand-ups are the reindeer (that includes Rudolph and his red nose), and they must each have antler hats on their heads, with red ribbons acting as the long reigns flowing from each riders handbars back to Ray and Deb. Call all of the local news stations/newspapers/magazines, and tell them you are doing a quick Christmas Parade ride around the frozen lighthouse, mention the donations, introducing yourself as Cleveland’s Stand-up Stunts!

I bet you get national coverage, and it might help you guys out with your ride spot in the future. It would be some footage you guys would look back and appreciate one day!

Good idea, but I lake cams are showing the Lake has frozen a couple hundred yards out from shore at this point. There will be no riding until April...when it melts.

Not to mention the 14 degree temperatures...a stalled ski would mean certain hypothermia and probably death...

btw...you can find Deb on facebook.

How unfortunate! That's some cold water for sure! I did think about the sitdown being there for an emergency, but if you are iced you are iced. I'll have to send her a pm through Ray and finally get her email addy I guess since I don't do Facebook. I've watched that video countless times btw! Great post!!!

Lighthouses are pretty damn tough. Can you imagine how much that ice weighs? To a point it is a structure holding itself up, but still, lighthouses take thousands of tons of force against them..
