This really sucks! My new Trinity hood is somewhere on the bottom of Springfield lake in Akron Ohio. I will be out there thursday night and all day friday diving for it. If anyone wants to join in let me know. $100 reward to any person who finds it!

Sounds like a tough task. How is the visibility?

Good luck. I'd help if you were closer. I had to find an anchor for my dad last summer. Visibility was terrible in our lake. I only found it because I swam right over top of it.

Sounds like a tough task. How is the visibility?

Its a shallow lake, only 25 feet at the deepest part. It gets churned up with all the boat traffic though. I would like to get out there at like 7am so the lake at least had a chance to clear up over night. I believe the hood is going to be in an area 7-15 feet deep. Of corse I had to paint the hood all black. Damnit!

The ski didn't sink all the way. The waterline was about where the bottom of the pole mount was. I ride with most of my bilge stuffed with those tubular pool floats so it wouldn't sink anyway. It took a good ten minutes for the bilge pump to pump it dry.

I never thought I would need hood straps on flatwater. Its the stock hood hooks that suck! Mine bent up and caused the hood to pop off.

Never tried, but would a metal detector detect carbon fiber? With something that large it may save you some time if it worked.
