//08 sj chopped light weight question//

Im in the market for a lower deck so i can get back into what i started. I plan on getting a epoxy primer/kev-glass flat water hull. I light the way Steve did his 08 set up (WCF). Id like to go the same route but have him do the epox prime vs gelcoat and a -2 or -3 chop. Im getting mixed reveiws on the 08 lower deck for flat water. Steve said he hasnt played with a chopped 08 yet and id be taking a chance. I can say this, I did a -4 chop on my buddys sxr and love the way it turned out. It sticks when u want and slides when u need it to. If i can get the sj 08 deck to feel close in ways were it will do both id be happy. Estimate hull weight is 75-80 lbs, Power plant is a 62t billit pv lamey 8mil. Also 12v mag pump, msd TL. My weight is 148 lbs. I did think of calling up Bobby with a shortened sxr set up but would like to stay with the SJ. I know Bob has a Sj in the works but dont know if i can wait. Any thoughts or reveiws on this subject would be a big help before i place a order with anybody.Thanks Ben

I for one would like to remember 24-7 when it was at its best with Chris Maros.

U could look at it like i work on my ski 24-7... and not the company lol.I thought the same thing. I was looking at (Norcal ex)'s 08 XFT on here...im in love with that setup.

XFT was by far my favorite lookin set up until the Q8.

The Q8 is just soooo amazing looking!!

I think If I were just looking for a bottom deck only I would probably go with lightweight.de or XFT. I say that because if it was only a bottom deck from one of those 2 I could probably afford it and the .de is probably honeycomb carbon, right?


OOOOOPS!!!! I meant FS-1......Those 2 were confusing me for a second. The Fs-1 is amazing looking!

I want to buy the lower now so i can get started. Making my carbon drains,exhaust tubes..bla,bla.Then get the upper when im ready. What is the prices of the xft backflip lower decks..in the relm of glass/kev? I try to get on the website and some collage site pops up?
