GET the Pipe. Most bang for buck by far.
...then flywheel. Kawi flywheels are REALLY heavy.
...then head, unless your gonna mill it.

Okay, I hope to get the parts ordered in the next week or two. After much deliberation with myself...on tap will be both the flywheel and wet pipe. Thanks for all the feedback everyone!

Now, as for the wet pipe, does the pipe kit include a jet kit, or do I need to go find those parts separately? Anyone riding at higher elevations (4-6000 ft ASL) and have a wet pipe properly tuned? Looking for some ideas on jetting...

Thanks again!

EDIT: I should mention that I do have a copy of the Factory pipe install instructions (and just reread it). It would appear that I need to buy the jets separately. I also see the section on jetting (152.5 mains, 80 pilots, HS and LS needle recommendations). Anyone find this jetting to not be appropriate? Any ideas on settings for high altitude (i.e. use the 152.5 mains and 80 pilot, turn HS and LS to XX) or ???

They sent the jets for mine with the order...they were correct for my setup

Who is they, Factory Pipe? Were they part of the kit, or extra? Reason I ask is because I had it in my mind (feeble as it may be) that they were included, but did not see them listed in the instructions as included. You're at sea level, right?

I got my pipe from FactoryPipe and they were part of the kid. I have no idea what elevation I am at haha. One thing I will recommend though is a 2.0 needle and seat. I saw even better acceleration.

Well, time to email Factory Pipe (again) about the jets. Needle and seat? Did you change the spring, or just the needle? I assume this relates to pop-off pressure? Do you have A/M flame arrestors, or stock airbox? Thanks!

Just to update...

I finally got around to installing a few parts on the ski. Note worthy may be the TBM flywheel. For those considering this mod, here's a few notes I learned:

1. Can be changed with engine in hull. It was actually really easy and took about 1 -1.5 hours with a major interruption in the middle.
2. I used a spark plug thread chase from Autozone ($6.99). I tried it dry first and could not get the flywheel to budge. I rapped the snout lightly a few times and nothing. Next, I applied anti-sieze to the threads and the tip of the chase, and it took VERY LITTLE torque to get the stocker off. MAJOR difference. Also used a crescent wrench on the stock flywheel to keep it from turning.
3. Clean mating surfaces very well with brake cleaner and rag.
4. Red loctite on the flywheel bolt, oil under the bolt head and aluminum spacer, torqued to 65 ft lbs. Rope in the Mag cylinder to keep engine from turning during torque.
5. Hold the stock o-ring in the cover with a dap of grease here and there.
6. Blue loctite on the cover bolts, snugged down.

Started right up, looking forward to testing at the lake this weekend. It was actually really simple for me with the right tools.

Next up will be X-metal handlepole, steering, and footholds. I have the parts, but not the time to install yet. Need to order some glass supplies for the footholds. Also need to order a wet pipe. Anyway, hopefully these basic flywheel instructions will help someone else in the future.
