A lightweight Trinity x2 hull and a SD 951 would be an awesome machine to rip ass across the water. I wonder how much room is inside those hulls. Probably tighter than an sxr.

:arms:

Your ears must have been ringing. I said that in a post e=today too. the I think 98 and up 951 motor in there with a pipe and a 148 mag would be awesome. I'd like to try that in some surf and see how it goes. Hopefully boby will try this instead of a stock sxr motor in a package deal.

I dont think it will fit, the eng comp opening isnt as big on the X2. I have a friend with a 951 SXR being built as soon as it gets back to him we are taking measurements to verify whether or not it can work!

We will be producing a lightweight x-2. The purchase is finally through and suppose to ship this week. It took me six to eight months to find one and it was the last one available. I tried everyone of the companies mentioned in America and all were sold out for some time. This project is one I've wanted to do for 2 years or so. This ski will be built to race or freestyle/freeride. I will start a post soon as things progress. When I post I will offer position holding deposits of $1,000.00 for 10 skis. When your number comes up the remainder of a 50% deposit is due, then 50% when finished. These will be the top of the line of after market hulls. We are a new company in the ski industry, but by no means to the composite industry. The quality of these hulls have impressed a handful of very creditable companies in the watercraft industry. Having said that we will only improve on our efforts to provide the best in the world. I thank all who took the risk of buying from a new company to allow the growth needed to expand on new projects in such short order. The fifth ski since January 08 left today with two more contracted. There also has been 13 hoods shipped (knock on fiberglass) with no issues. Thanks again to everyone who has helped.

Did you recieve your X2 yet? Any update on a lightweight?

There is a still crated X2 on Ebay right now....Starting bid 11K.....

Couple answers to posts:

Ross took my '05 X2 for a spin a couple weeks ago and absolutely FELL IN LOVE with it.

I think the 951 itself will fit, the issue is the rossier/coffman pipe will NOT fit.

Last count there were 12 in the US, that doesn't included Trinity's

Now, onto my questions:

Trinity, will you be offering CF hoods?

What about lightweight topdecks?

Any idea on pricing yet?

I am definitely in the market for a L/W hood!

No kidding.. The stock hood must weigh 100lbs. That's prob my biggest complaint about the new X2. I've actually been considering going with the SE hood but now that I see this I REALLY hope they offer a L/W hood.

Where Can I Get A 800 X2?
There is one on ebay right now. It just came in from over seas. It was the one I was going to use to work off the upper deck. Problem was the guy that bought it was a friend who had more ideas to make money than effort to do work. Along with ideas to compete against well known companies in this sport I have been working with gaining there trust. My idea is to do what I'm best at to make my money and pass the buck to the other specialist and let them make there money. It takes a team to offer the best. Maybe next time on the x-2.

Hi Guys,

a few things i noticed about the 07 X-2 not that I have owned one but one of my ride buddies used to have one. They are chit in the surf not as far as riding goes but you would have more luck keeping water out of the tray of a superjet than the motor compertment of an x-2, out of 6 - 7 rides it only had 2 (cause he rode around the problems)that it didn't get swamped and not from getting hit by waves 1 big stab and she was toast. Was fitted with a bilge as well. This problem comes about from the airbox being open at both ends, don't know if its the same as an sxr but with the shape of the hull when you go nose down in the air it ramps water straight into the back holes on the air box, probably fixable with a sj style air box but he's sold it so didn't get to try that. As well the hood bracket is weak for the size/weight of that hood and he also had the hood come open once on an under rotated stab when one of the hood latches broke.

Please don't take this the wrong way I am not hatin on the x2, with the right mods to overcome these issues it would be a GREAT surf boat the thing handles like its on rails but these are the real world experiences we had running this boat in the surf and food for thought before you drop what is a large amount more than you could pick up and sxr or sj for over there, or convert one to fixed steer for that matter.

Cheers
Matty

P.S if there is anyone out there that wants one there are still a fair few left here in OZ i think at JETSKI World & Jetworx to name a few & with the Aussie dollar on the way down and dealers struggling to move them over here you might be able to pick one up at a good price and there will be a few shops sending ski's over to the WF's but you may have missed the boat on that one already (pardon the pun) for a deal on shipping.

I rode a bone stock 2006 x-2 today and I can say it was ok. That boat needs tons of work to make it a wave slasher. First of all, they don't turn very sharp at all and it just seemed like it weighed 400lbs. A real pig in stock form. It could barely pull you up out of the water and the prop didn't hook up in whitewater at all... It has potential, but it really needs to be a lot lighter before it will be a good surf boat".

W/ that said, I did have a lot of fun on it Ya know, just being critical...

another thing... I totally agree w/ the Aussie above...

Huge problems w/ water getting in everywhere... I basically swamped the motor twice by doing slashes and jumping... It was very difficult to get going again after we cleaned the plugs several times before it would kick over again...

I seriously think guys w/ older x-2's would not like this boat... It handles nothing like, and feels less like an older x-2... I would take a B1 over it all day long, especially due to the cost difference.
