I use my hood straps. They are adjustable so i let about 6" of strap out and cris cross them and then snap them down. Works perfectly.

yeah lowes and i think home depot have 3/8 plumbing hose. its the clear stuff with twine threaded through it. Love the stuff cause its clear (can see your water running through it) and it just looks clean and simple. I think it comes in 10' sections for about $7.
