I would remove the flywheel inspection plug and check to see if the flywheel itself is spinning when you work the starter button. It is possible that the starter is engaging to the flywheel but the the flywheel key is sheared. That will prevent the engine from spinning over.

I am looking to paint a 1987 js300 hull (bottom half only at this time) what is the hull made of? ive heard a sheet molded compound? if so what is that plastic? also what kind of paint should be used when spraying that material or whatever the hull is actually made out of. any and all help...

There are no extra pieces. t-bones pic... yea dont have those parts. never came out of the ski. just the brace against the "firewall" and the mount for the driveshaft bearing support that is mounted to the bottom

I've got a js300 tank which is roughly the same and yea 3 to 3.5 gal is about what i get in it from empty. a little more when you tip the nose up when filling.
