As I just said in another thread, Yamaha dealers in NJ are saying you can register them. May just be for this state though. No warranty though? That would make me just want to get a 2011 instead.

Did a dealer tell you this? The Yamaha dealers in NJ are saying you can register them and you don't need any type of race license for the 2012 models. I think Yamaha is just saying that to cover themselves.

That is definitely a must if you are going to use your 550 for freestyle and you can install one for pretty cheap.

Thanks guys I really appreciate it. My ski pulls just fine the way it is. It does slide a lot when do sharp turns but I find it fun.
