Nice build. One piece of advise after watching your video, I would bungee down your pole while your ski is on the trailer so it's not bouncing around the whole time.

You should be fine, it's your first ski so you won't be doing much but learning the basics. Get comfortable on it, then move up to a SJ.

Sorry, I know this is a month old thread. Something simiar happened to my Dad's couch, if that seal that goes around the prop (black rubber in this case) is damaged do you have replace it or will it still run properly?

OP, were you looking at the 98 Kawi on CL? The guy that wanted 1600? I was thinking about it myself until I saw this thread.
