Yes, that makes a big difference. Epoxy will chalk and degrade in UV rays over time, therefore it needs to be protected. Im glad you now mentioned this Matt :biggrin:

You are priming because the gel coat has pin holes. Just come out and say it. If there were no pinholes in the gel coat you would not need to prime.

Thats what regular spoof cans have always been like. They are automotive lacquer paint without the hardener. But people like Yamaslut and some others on here have used this stuff before(epoxy paint in can) and say its resistant to gas/oil, etc. Id have to see it for myself though...

I have rolled white gel coat in my engine compartment after reinforcing. Roll on gel coat, let set up a bit, PVA, let cure, rinse PVA, done.

Ive used the X-2 or 650SX side exhaust piece on some Superjet builds I've done and they've worked great. You can pick them up for dirt cheap. Let me know if ya need one, Im getting ready to part out a 650SX and a X-2!
