    FREESTYLE(Run time on these setups)STROKERS

I think someone wants to sell you parts and service....... That might be accurate if you were building a full race motor that was used as a race motor. A freestyle motor will never see the R's that a race motor sees and should have much longer service intervals. I agree with the...

    Jetski Solutions "ski grease"

Instead of using the "ski grease" at $10.45 for 2oz, buy Dow Corning 111 from McMaster Carr at $12.96 for 5.3oz. It's at least as good as the stuff JSS sells and maybe better. It actually may be the same thing, but the 111 seems to be a bit higher viscosity.

5mil stroker jetting for a single 48 riva carb?

I'm with Matt on this......Really????:ugh: I'm with wax on this......who would have guessed???:ugh: What you're describing is EXACTLY what several of us have been saying for quite a while. You're experiencing EXACTLY what a good race boat feels like when several of the things it needs to...

who has fried a msd brain?

Can you explain in more detail about the theory and practice of "cooking" an MSD to restore it? Sounds interesting......seriously.

    Race Fuel

This is where I believe you're mistaken. I also believe this is why you're having a lot of trouble making this motor work they way you think it should. You say "for alot less PITA". Trying three different carbs with no real success and having a 4th set built does not sound easy to me. If...

Why grindout rib's when reinforcing ?

Unfortunately, using foam to fair the bond line will likely undermine any benefit(debatable) gained by leaving the ribs in place. The seam only needs to be faired(with thickened epoxy) enough to eliminate a "buttcrack that is too sharp for the fabric to follow. One good flex on the side and...

Why doesn't anyone really read two stroke theory?

I have all the books. Bell, Jennings, the Watcon/Jetski Bible stuff, etc and have read them all. I have to confess that I'm really a big picture kind of guy and have decent mechanical instincts, but I'm pretty rough with some of the math required to start from scratch. If I had a NEED to...

    Transfer Port Sizes

Ain't it the truth. Numbers are no doubt important, but give me an experienced builder with an intuitive sense of how it all works together every time. I prefer builders who cut their teeth in racing. Racing gives measurable, objective ways to evaluate modifications that are hard to replicate...

    Race Fuel

This is just my opinion, but it's an educated one arrived at over a number of years. VP fuels will almost always be the most expensive fuels available. There are several reasons for this. Admittedly, one is that they have the name, track record, and reputation to pull it off. Second(and more...

Where to get colored Tygon fuel line?

What you're seeing is Tygon Fuel and Lubricant tubing. To the best of my knowledge it's only available in translucent yellow.

    Factory Pipe ECWI?

ECWI works very well, but the MSD is NOT the one to use. Most people use the Jetworks/Micro Touch versions. The typical MSD comes on too late to be of any benefit.

    Runaway Mtr

A cold motor or a motor that hasn't been started for a while will frequently try to run away. Over prime it for the first start and then as needed until it settles into a steady idle. Doesn't necessarily mean there's anything wrong.

lets talk fuel consumtion on big aftermarker carbs run time?

Dual 48 BlackJacks on a 6mm race gas stroker. About an hour give or take of actual ride time. Maybe a little more. Same thing with dual 46 BlackJacks on a race gas superstock.

5mil stroker jetting for a single 48 riva carb?

Squish may not be perfect, but that isn't your problem. A motor set up to get holeshots and still run out on MSD TL, race fuel, and big duals will never run anywhere near it's potential with the compromises you're making. When a motor is designed from the ground up to be a full race gas mod...
