Since you said 750 I am assuming its a Kawi,Bondo ain't gonna work on the SMC hull,you need epoxy resin,if its a small hole try Marinetex,its not my favorite but it is epoxy based and somewhat cheap,if its a larger hole you need epoxy resin and cloth,West system has a small kit for this purpose...

Yes you lose compression running the smaller plug plus your spark is down inside a hole.not too good!

Yes the rings have small marks on them they face upwards,some pistons use the same ring in the top and bottom lands ,others do not.
