y I use the vice mounted crimping tool for the plug wires I am to cheep to buy the hand tool plus I don't use it but once every couple years. -

u I also solder them after crimp for for that extra security. I do the same on my plug wires. -

u Yes you do need the proper crimp tool for these pins if you want the connectors to be right or you could just put it on the vice and smash it with a hammer. Mark44 -
