Once the tray was out and I did what I wanted to do in there I glued in some aluminum strips(one on the front and 2 in back) . That way I could place the cut out tray down onto something solid and flush with the remainder of the tray.
See the aluminum in the front ?
No, I completely glassed the tray in so it was good and strong, than dumped the foam in through holes that I drilled.
I used scrap aluminum in the front and the rear to keep the tray level with the rest while I glassed.
The next hull will have even more of the tray removed and than maybe...
With all due respect we must agree to disagree. :01:
With the help of this forum and the search feature I was able to install my REVs quite easily. I read all I could on the subject as any question I had was already answered in depth. First time playing with glass and it was easy.
This...
The great debate continues.
I have 2 sets of X cases but after talking with Chucky (he talked I listened, and listened and listened) decided to go with T's.
Some would say that the $200+ you will spend on cases could go towards porting and give better results.
When you hit Ft Myers hand a left into the Caloosahatchee River.
That will take you to lake Okeechobee and from there it's just a hop skip and a jump to Stuart via the canal.
Should cut your travel time by a few hours.
It seams that us 6m6 owners are sitting on a gold mine.
Just think that we are on the ground floor of what might be a future TNT chamber.
I rock a 6m6 and am proud of it.
:lmao:
I guess you are talking about the pump shoe.
Wait till you have to remove your broken one, than you'll pay anything not to have to do it again.
Normal silicone will not work, you need something that works below the water line.
3M 5200 is what you need and you can get it at most boat stores...
How about a current picture ?
Let me be the first to submit mine.
This time the subject of name tags should be discussed a bit more especially at the raffle.
There is added value in looking at the confusion on peoples faces when they try to decipher who everyone is.

The thing does have a pipe but I doubt it has any porting done.
Could take care of that while the motor is apart.
I guess when and if I pull this thing apart I can better compare my x cylinder and the 6m6. Could try to open up the 6m6 ports to match or be close to those of the X.
Than...
Chuck, I'm not trying to rush you at all.
I'm just bored right now and have a choice,
1- destroy a perfectly good 650
2- cut my hull up and modify
Variant 1 looked like more fun with the potential for fireworks. :bananajump:
I really don't want to use that 701 top end until all the...
Bet the Dess and that happy go lucky Sea-Doo MPEM would work great in the salt.
I can hear all the beeping standups now.
Doo had some great little motors but their electrical systems and the monopoly on programers SUCKED !!
Hey misster, who ported it and whoss idea wass it ?? :18:
Does it run ?
Ill these reports that there is a big difference between the X and T cases got me thinking that's all.
It would be rather stupid to tare down a perfectly good little motor only to come up with and abortion...
