Here is how i did mine... You can see in the one pic that I used pressure treated 2x4's and used galvenized brakets to hole them on. And in the second pic how it fits three skis with a tool box and fuel jugs in front.

I use one of those blowsion jobs glued to my start stop switch... works great cuz you can turn it on and off with your thumb while never letting go of the bars.
