i had a 95 fx1. i did what i call "the cheater pipe" install to it. it's way better than the stock oem yamaha pipe. a hard part is find is a coffman or factory pipe 61x exhaust manifold !!! look back a couple of pages here in this fx1 section and you will see my post on that pipe install...

that pipe should have a coffmans exhaust manifold, not a stock oem yamaha ehaust manifold ??? maybe that's a good cheaper setup that i have ever seen before ??? i got the fx1 - sj cheater pipe setup to work fairly well !!! good luck gorilla

what year sxi did you get ??? i just got a stock 95sxi. you could try putting a stock 750 flywheel back on it. it's possible the timing on that alum flywheel might not match up the timing advance plate's curve ??? good luck gorilla

just remove the whole motor. then remove the coupler 1st, then remove the flywheel. turn the motor up side down. crack the crank cases apart. clean up the bottom case + top case the best you can, and install your new seals. use 1211 on the bottom case, then put it back together !!! you dont...
