laugh if you want. im not stupid enough to put cheap materials in an area as in post number one. im not the only one that feels that way either. you think rubber hoses in an inaccesible area are "superior" to metal tubes. yeah, youre quite the engineer yourself. :haha::haha:

i never claimed to be a know it all. i do know that theres a valid reason that NO reputable ski manufacturers use plastic and rubber hoses in inaccessible areas.

    Pulse Line Fitting Question

id say a quality rubber cap on the existing fitting and maybe a 1/8" mpt with a 1/4" barbed fitting for the new one. why dont you just use the existing fitting?

the difference is no other skis have PLASTIC AND RUBBER for cooling lines and exhaust tubes BEHIND the bulkhead area. have you ever even WORKED on a PWC?????

sorry, but im not in the jet ski business. however, my business includes calling it like i see it. sorry if it offends you so much, but the materials used in that hull are a JOKE. i know there are clueless douchebags out there thatd never see a problem with how shoddy the plumbing is as it...

:bs2: have you seen the plumbing in post number one????? im guessing that the ski at WF had the plumbing done the same way. thats just cheapass workmanship. plain and simple. there is no excuse for that other than "you wont see it when it all together.".

you feel im gullable? i know an exhaust tube doesnt cost $300 to build. whats your story? the pole is great, thanks.... hows that rrac pole?

    my waterdawg vacation!

:bs2: pats tube would clear right above that 5200d in battery box with no problem. the reasoning that jeff is giving you behind charging a rude $300 for a TUBE is pure BS. its just a way for him to skip over to lowes and only spend $9 in materials instead of having to do any real work...

awe come on steve.... we all know that hand laying carbon with epoxy is just as easy as aiming a choppergun at a mold and squeezing the trigger. labor schmabor.

nobody mentioned the 5200'd in radiator hose for the scupper tube. :haha: i sure hope jeff didnt do that plumbing work. it looks like it was done by ray charles.

PVC (Or ABS) Exhaust Tees and Piping

LOL @ kansas surf i chopped up a 550 hull that had a 1.5" pvc pipe for a rear exhaust and when i pulled it out, it was pretty distorted from the heat. it still resembled a length of pipe but it had its share of 'warbled' areas. i dont recall that ever happening with metal.

you forgot about plain ol' leaking. the plastic in the exhaust will more than likely start leaking at the joints. those look like drainage fittings, to me, which do not really grab onto that much pipe. but, youre right. theres no reason not to skimp on petty parts like cooling and exhaust tubes...

    Factory headpipe boring????

paul should be able to tell you better than anyone. he told me and i THINK it was 49mm.

you wont necessarily know that the hoses or pipes are messed up or cracked or dryrotted or leaking when theyre buried in foam behind the bulkhead. until its waterlawgged. nice looking ski!
