the dyno numbers dont make sense to me either.
the person that came up with them is either full of chit or theyre just full of chit.
so, who came up with those hp/rpm #s again?
i see where youre coming from but if the truth, whole truth and nothing but the truth were told, only one side of the spectrum would look bad, so i understand your position.
id run the wammer plate and do a quicksteer mod on the nozzle.
the mod is basically just moving the ball on the nozzle about 1/2" toward the pivot and grinding the part of the nozzle that hits the plate..... or just grind a groove in the plate.
i think the sx550s had keihin carbs that would work on a 650.
otherwise, you can get a mikuni 44 manifold for the 650 or surfjetlouie sells an adaptor plate for the keihin manifold that adapts to the mikuni carb (i think).
hmmm... hardball.:banghead:
youre right on the edge of the right answer but now youre putting your foot in your mouth.
i know exactly what and why, and you do too.

steves products have only gotten BETTER since then.
so, why the bashing of his products now?
were the ones bashing his stuff now LYING before? or?????
i think im going to have to try this mod!
it looks like you didnt have to undo the fabric all the way. just about 10" or so. right?
is the hump in the plastic or in the padding?
is it a lot easier to back-mount like this?
i didnt see a comparison other than they are both sick of all the crap.
i agree about the lower profile on the site probably being better for his business.
