Home Depot sells these funky kids play area foam flooring things.
They come in 24" x 24" interlocking sheets (4 per package) and are 1" thick.
Work great for pole pads, battery tray reducers (I run a small battery) and anything else where padding is needed.
A pack of 4 lasts a long time.
I bet for the cost of a 66e conversion you could add an X-Scream cylinder to your motor and be way ahead.
Never liked the 66e motor. Them suckers shake like a clapped out Harley.
I found it much easier to move the hood hooks out further apart and do away with the stop. No need for any pole grinding.
A limiting rope is a must but the pole goes up all the way.
I have 2 early SN mid-shaft setups.
1 has the smaller threads the other has the larger threads but both are mounted in the pre 93 carrier. Side by side with a RN shaft they are identical other than the thread size on the one.
How low does it sit in the water when on plane ?
Looks like it would be an absolute blast in the mangrove trails dragging knees all the way.
Props.
Need to see more.
