The front mounted exhaust helps to keep the exhaust from entering the pump while the ski is vertical in the water not really a necessary mod IMO. The check valve if you are talking about the scupper system is a one way check valve inside the tray installed in 2” PVC that connects the engine...

Check in your area for a water jet it is really cheap and quick to have material cut, that’s about a 2 minute part to cut and 5 minutes to draw. There are a lot of cad monkeys on this site that would probably draw it for you. Mark44
