im doin a roller job on my ski right now, just finished the bottom and will do the top this weekend. how many coats did you put on? did you thin the paint? are you using a clear coat?

start off by ordering a handlepole limiting rope and hood straps. those are cheap and will keep you from sinking your ski and breaking your pole. put an aftermarket electric bilge pump in it. shorten your stock handle pole 2 or 3 inches. its a cheap and fairly easy mod. buy...

cut your pole, use 1/4-20 ss bolts instead of rivets to attach it back to the bracket. i would spend $300 and buy an ada girdled head. but if you decide to stick with stock, send that and your nozzle at the same time to pro-tec, or whoever you decide to go with and maybe it will save you a few...

definitely look into putting in a bigger pump before you go and spend money on a new prop. its a must do mod for the fx-1. if you are gonna do a pipe and head you wont get the full performance gains with the small stock pump.
