mine was in pretty scrubby shape, and was already reinforced... so i decided to paint.
I cleaned the entire engine bay with an Ammonia/water solution and let dry.
I used Rust-o-leum marine coatings topside paint

LMAO...
yeah, definitely, i'll let you know for sure.
I actually bought my first superjet down there, pensacola motorsports. I used to ride a GP1200 that I wrecked riding there... surf from TS Barry when the storm was still 300 miles off shore.
i moved back to NY about 4 years ago. I used to ride there every weekend from 2000 - 2003. I have not made it back down since, but I am so ready to move back down south.
in fact, that's how I met Harrison.
I didn't, but had planned to. I was going to go with what Mark44 used... brass fittings with brass plugs. they are small, and will fit down low in the chine. I have to get to the hardware store soon to pick some up.
I've been putting stuff off since my grandfather fell ill a few weeks back.
yeah, i'm thinking about coming up soon. i need to ride... and it'll be at least a few weeks for us here.
I'm gonna give ya a call this weekend, if you'll be around. I wanna talk some paint stuff with ya.
