    What State are you from?

I can't see Florida on the poll... Shouldn't the question be 'What region are you in'?:cool2:

    701 Conversion- How To.

You just need the cylider, head and pistons, and any machine shop should be able to do it for you. I beleive the 650 and 701 wrist pins are the same, but double check...

    701 Conversion- How To.

At the Cylinder bores we are talking about, I don't think the carb and or intake would be an issue. I've seen big bores on single 48's hit like Tyson on his honeymoon. I think it would come down to case volume and transfer ports, and whether the cases could keep up with the flow...

and since they do feed a 81mm bore fine, a 83mm bore should be fine.:scratchchin: :dunno:

    Should X-H2O have a Sit-Down Section?

    701 Conversion- How To.

I personally think 83mm would be suffocated by the 6m6 cases, and needs to be on 62T's. Stock bore 61x cylinders on 6m6 cases, with porting and a shaved head, running at 185 psi has ample power at a fraction of the cost. The move from 6m6 to 61x's just does not make sense to me, when you...

    701 Conversion- How To.

Ported with a b-pipe...:woot: Just a thought to keep his prices down and get the increase he wants. I would rather see him pay $200 for a 61x topend and then have some money to port the cylinders (that can always be used on a 61x or 62t later on) than buy the cases, jugs, reeds, exhaust...

    701 Conversion- How To.

Trust me, there is little differenece. I run a ported 701 on 6m6 cases with 185 compression, and I honestly could not justify the expense of converting to a 61x, especially with the little gain in power. (compared to other 61x SN I have ridden) Now saying that, I do have a 62t engine in my...

    701 Conversion- How To.

From what I have read and been told, there is little difference between 6m6 and 61x cases, so clearance the 6m6 cases to fit 61x jugs, and wallah! 701cc's:arms:

    Should X-H2O have a Sit-Down Section?

IMO, It should not have a seperate sitdown section, but should have 'Sections' that accomodate them. i.e. Honda, Sea Poo, etc...

What is the problem with having this site be pro-standup?

Agreed... but I also want to know what your thoughts are on the personal threats that were posted, or is that just good ol' Pete venting?
