Super Jet Pro-tec pipe help. Running hot (I think)

They way it shows it is pretty much how i described how I plan to set it up (minus the 2nd exhaust mani fitting and the water injection). One waterline feed to head, head to pisser. One waterline feed to C. D to F, pisser between D and F. Without a doubt, my first setup in the drawing was not good.

Super Jet Pro-tec pipe help. Running hot (I think)

I am going to run one line to the manifold, and the head will dump out pissers. The other input line, I'll probably run to "C" like you said, then out D, pisser T, then stinger. So anyone know where the water is "injected" to with E? Does it go through the waterjacket and straight into the...

Super Jet Pro-tec pipe help. Running hot (I think)

I had the pisser there to let the engine cool better because there is a very small restrictor at the head pipe inlet. But I took a step back and realized that this is setup half assed. I'm putting in dual cooling this week. I'm running one to the exhaust manifold and dumping the head out of an...

Super Jet Pro-tec pipe help. Running hot (I think)

I'm attaching a picture of how I have it hooked up. I do not use the electronic water injection, so that port is blocked off. I have a RIVA head, one of the two water outlets has a (stripped) brass plug in it so if I want to use it, I have to take the head off and remove it. (no big deal). I...

Super Jet If given the choice between these two pro-tec pipes...

Well, I got it home. It's definitely the mach II. But it doesn't have the electonic valve. Can I just leave that line off? http://www.pro-tecperformance.com/m2update.htm I'm confused. I thought water normally is injected into the bottom of the headpipe (D) and out the top (C) and then it goes...

sigh... that would be a negative. Plus I already paid, but I was given a choice between the two. Im leaning toward the grey one because it appears to have stronger mounts

Super Jet 701 build/test. Some issues and RPM question.

Alright, compression with this head is 145 on both cyl. It's only been through one (short) heat cycle so I am hoping I see higher comp with this head in the future. Checked the high and low screws. Both were 2.5 full turns out. Do you guys think that could be causing it? I don't remember what...

Super Jet 701 build/test. Some issues and RPM question.

Bear with me, haven't had time to go out and test. Tonight for sure :) Again, thanks for all of your help/suggestions.

Super Jet 701 build/test. Some issues and RPM question.

Thanks, I'll check that too. My plug wires are recently cut back and clean, but I'll double check my grounds. I'm going to need to buy a 701 (or protec or msd) CDI anyway soon, so I might wait to mess with the electronics until that comes in. Well, aside from checking the grounds.

Super Jet 701 build/test. Some issues and RPM question.

Yeah, I have to check compression tonight. And it was in the water. I don't remember if it totally died, but it made a HUGE difference (indicating the cyl was definitely firing). The other thought I had was a bad CDI because again, even for a 650 cdi, the rev limited seemed to come on VERY fast...

Super Jet 701 build/test. Some issues and RPM question.

Also, cylinders are 62T, case is a 61x. From what I understand, that is the opposite of what most people go for :( But still should blow my 650 away, right?

Super Jet 701 build/test. Some issues and RPM question.

I picked up a cheap SN with a bad 650 and put in a (literally, new) 701 with a new RIVA head. I did not swap electronics (yet) so I am stuck with the 650's rev limiter. Single carb. No exhaust leaks. Starts up fine, every time, without primer. I took it to the lake yesterday. The water temp was...

Other Anyone ever "Plastidipped" their ski?

I agree, on the bottom of the ski it would last about 2 seconds, especially if you ever pull it up on a beach. I'm wondering about the topside/handpole which rarely experiences extended periods of time underwater. Even if you did sub it, I don't know. I guess there is only one way to find out :)...

Other Anyone ever "Plastidipped" their ski?

I've heard a lot lately about people plastidipping their wheels, even their whole cars and it appears to hold up REALLY well and also really easy to repair. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/hangout/382882-plastidipped-my-car.html Anyone ever tried it with their ski? I'm not sure it would...

    any Racquetball players here?

I leased my apartment just because it is the only one with a free court :) The problem is it is almost impossible to find someone challenging to play with regularly. The court is guaranteed to be empty any time, day or night. I might be the only one that actually uses it. Most of the people I...

    any Racquetball players here?

I've been playing for as long as I can remember, but not in the past 3 or so years. Trying to get back into it now. I know this is an old thread, but I figured nobody chimed in, so I would :) It's my second favorite sport.
