Alright, compression with this head is 145 on both cyl. It's only been through one (short) heat cycle so I am hoping I see higher comp with this head in the future. Checked the high and low screws. Both were 2.5 full turns out. Do you guys think that could be causing it? I don't remember what...

Thanks, I'll check that too. My plug wires are recently cut back and clean, but I'll double check my grounds. I'm going to need to buy a 701 (or protec or msd) CDI anyway soon, so I might wait to mess with the electronics until that comes in. Well, aside from checking the grounds.

Yeah, I have to check compression tonight. And it was in the water. I don't remember if it totally died, but it made a HUGE difference (indicating the cyl was definitely firing). The other thought I had was a bad CDI because again, even for a 650 cdi, the rev limited seemed to come on VERY fast...

Also, cylinders are 62T, case is a 61x. From what I understand, that is the opposite of what most people go for :( But still should blow my 650 away, right?
