Ok, so here is my update from last night: I went ahead and just traced the cut from my XFT plate onto the stocker. I went through 5 "heavy duty" cutting disks with the Dremel. That could have been 2 or 3 if I was a little more patient. By the time I sanded it, the whole process had taken...

I've always that these would be pretty cool, but I think it would mess with my spatial awareness. I won't wear my ipod on the mountain either, I can't afford to give up any of my senses. Cool idea though. I think I'll probably just mount a tower on my ski.

A strong 650 would be merely adequate. A good stock 701 would be fine, but it won't rip your arms off. In 99% of cases, only get a 650 if its a killer deal, or you've got a little mechanical savvy - the 701 cylinders are a direct swap onto that 650 motor.

Dude, figure out what you are willing to spend/how far you are willing to travel. On here, I bet for $2k you could find a 701 Square, with plate/grate/impeller, maybe a pipe and head, within a day trip.
