I think what I understand is blowsion essentially bought the design from UMI. There is only one spring out there, and before there were two names for the same spring.

VERY tight. Actually I came down hard off a wave on Friday... pulled the coupler cover later and saw that the coupler had gone and cut a nice little slice out of the bilge pump housing. No big deal, it needed to be trimmed down a bit anyways.

I have a Rulemate 750. Mounted it with 3M 5200 next to the drive shaft. Hardwired it to the battery. Fully automatic. Haven't had a problem yet. I don't understand why you want to dump the outlet into the tray, but whatever - just make sure it's somewhere above the waterline.
