it seems like a lot of people shorten their hulls to make them easier to flip... this makes sense for flat water or maybe small east coast surf. but when i see someone flipping on a shortened hull on decent size surf they just dont look as impreseeive to me because they are spinning quicker and...
well if you ever want to get air and or do inverts, i say re-inforce it first so you dont have down time later doing repairs. unless you are someone who only wants to do surf riding and never any jumping, then you WILL need to re-inforce your ski. like tittirash said, make sure to beef up...
looks good... i wanted to do the "swoop" mod on my ski but never got around to it. it seemed like it would be alot of work just for something cosmetic but i definitely like the swoop look better.
its just my opinion. i did like coungs old ski with the blowsion paint job but it didnt look as "90's" and tacky as most of them do (either does eddies)
personally i wouldnt go the bedliner route in case i ever had to do any fiberglass repairs or add re-inforcement. that stuff would be a p.i.t.a to remove. i just like the dyed resin look. i went with white dye and am very happy with it after 3 or 4 years.
