mine did the same thing, it was the r & d piston. the piston wall just came apart and destroyed the whole motor.

is this a flat top dome? i don't remeber riva making a 29 cc domes for round tops, but maybe they did. if it is a flattop dome the compression should be in the 180 range if it is ported. mine runs 178 compression with 29 cc domes on a 85.5 r & d piston.

i like everything but the riva sticker. not sure how the paint will hold up on some of those parts. guess it depends on your prep and adhesion promoters. yeh, what kind of sponsons are those, are they painted riva sponsons for an sj ?

you got me there, it came out of a mod hull. i mean a total aftermarket hull, so i have no idea which is which. it is boxed up and awaiting mailing tomorrow at the post office. they are officially closed today. another holiday none of us have off, except our government. :)

i just looked at a stock one and the triton, the outside seals are the same. so i would say it takes stock stuff.

usually less expensive because they give you a tracking # for free if you use priority mail. plus it is real easy for smaller light weight parts
