    Check this mess How bout a little ppg/paint Didnt reinforce the bond line or motor mounts, this is the halfassed part. Did replace the broken h-pole mount and reinforce mount area and hood with E-glass though.

    Man, this stuff is sticky. Plastic mallet is great for this part. Next time it will be way faster, wonder how much of the rails to turf?

    This year we had a hard winter. Ice out just this week at the lake. I guess it depends on how hardcore you are. May thru october normally. 80 degrees is a HOT day here.

    A dremel tool with the little barrel sander bit worked good for beveling the padding, and the reinforced cutoff wheel for cutting glass and grinding out the foam. Better have the shop-vac ready though. FX-1's trays are narrow as heck, I hope I didnt pad too much. Maybe I should just use...

    That glue is mighty fumey. I tried a heat gun to speed up the glue dry process. It worked really good, I just hope it holds up.

    Footholds....never had em.....So it looks like its toe holds this go-round. Fabbin my own, it's way too easy. Next time its footholds.

    I think I scooped this one on craigslist within a couple of minutes of posting it. I dont feel that bad though, one of you NW guys just swiped up a 95 701 yesterday!!! It was so close I could TASTE it......................Damn.

    Thats really cool. Beleive it or not I was just going to do the same thing tomorrow with my spare FX-1 ride plate. ( I broke the other one). I was just going to use epoxy and glass though.

    I see some advantages to a direct injected 701. Much better economy = smaller fuel tank = more room under hood = lighter weight = way less vibration But must be easy to remap for mods. emmisions.....I really dont care that much.... too small of a market.
