they'd still be constrained by the coolant passage though :worried: can't imagine they could be anything like a 61x. but then again i didnt really pay close attention to how close the coolant passage was when i did my 61x cylinder.
i'll have mine at fsf. remind me and we'll get some done up.
this weekend was the first time i could say i really attempted them. i still really am uncomfortable on what im trying to do. i come out of my holds at like a quarter rotation, ski lands upside down. i think i was trying to make...
post some pics of the protec port job, i'd like to see em. like mouth said, the 650 is limited by the coolant passages. I've just started porting a 650 myself, everything is still rough.
anybody use an alternative to the hydroturf padding? I have sheets of the turf, went to order the pad underneath and a sheet of that is 60 bucks, just hoping there is something cheaper, yikes.
I can update the wedge trials.
I wasnt happy with it. Makes the nose seem to want to pop up to easily, the trim effect isnt as noticeable since its already up some. I took the wedge off and regained handling and trim was much more noticeable. Compared them back to back and had Geek ride it...
all depends on who has a hood and how much they want to get rid of it. I got a complete square hull for 40 bucks before. but i've seen hoods sell for 75 bucks or more. just depends on the day and the seller (or how much the wife wants the thing out of the garage/yard )
you could modify the stock nozzle to have trim, but you have to fab up a couple pcs and such. i'd stick with no trim atleast until you get a little more comfortable working on skis and such. I dont use mine much.
