    Front Exhaust... Why?

To me the mod was worth the cost on my Freestyle boat... On my Surf boat I did not wantt he noise or smoke in my face (for long no-wake zones) so I went with a side rear exhaust only, which should keep the exhaust out of the pump cavity when landing in the surf. :Banane35:

    Super Jet B pipe question

That is usually blocked off on all cooling setup's (stock head) that I have seen. The Tee in the line (headpipe to stinger) should go to your pisser and out the side of the boat.

    Frosty's '98 Freeride Superjet Rebuild

Are you going to use foam to shape the top of the hood area? If not, the aluminum duct tape (100 MPH Tape) works real well as a backing to run fiberglass over, and it pels off after the fiberglass is cured. :trink26:

    grounding?

I run a ground to the back of the starter, AND a ground to the front of the flywheel cover. I have had instances where the ground to the starte has left me hanging, so I prefer a redundant system. :bigok:

Please Help Me Help A Good Friend and Fellow Rider!

I was thinking the same thing... I hae no problems donating spare parts, but I need a better reason than someone has a lazy-unmotivated friend without an engine. Hopefully this is not he case... :fing02:

    Now see my FRONT exhaust.

My Freestyle RN has x-metal front exhaust, but on my surf boat I elected to go Side Rear x-metal exhaust instead of front/rear exhaust combination. The side rear exhast should keep the exhaust away from the pump arear during tail landings without the noise of front exhaust. We will see....:baby:

what makes a engine "bomb" vs a "tank" motor?

Please enlighten us to what other factors could kill a motor?

what makes a engine "bomb" vs a "tank" motor?

EXACTLY!!! If someone wants reliability, then they need to go back to stock! Every modification we do to our engines shortens the life expectency of them. You want to play, you got to pay! :stooges:

    Got carbon?

Do you have any data that says it's not? Don't be a dik and let Steve be proud of his new model... Or even better yet, call him up and discuss it, I know he will answer the phone, and might even have a spare 5mm crank that he owns if you wanted.... :pokey:

    Fire extinguisters don't float

That is not a State law, that is maritime law... You own a vessel, you are required to come to the aid of other vessels unless it puts your vessel in harms way...

Green glue for a pump insert replacement.

Are we talking pump shoe, or pump bolt insert? For pump shoe I use 5200, to replace the pump bolt insert I would use epoxy resin mixed with milled fibers. :bananapowerslide:
