There is a Delta II launch scheduled for 3:04pm today if you care to stop and watch. I don't know how far away it will be visible, so give it a look and let me know. The payload is a GPS satalite if you're wondering.
It's not as impressive as at shuttle launch but it's still fun to watch...
The date is pending on testing being performed today on the ET. There will be a press confrence this afternoon to discuss the prelim test results, if things go well and we find the problem the 10th should be good. If we still can't pinpoint the issue and fix it......who knows when it will go...
Every new SJ I have ever seen had a white sticker on the top of the hood that says Made in Japan, and a few years ago when I met some guys at the Newnan plant for an interview they told me SJs come from Japan. And the new hull was designed in Japan too according to Mr. Watkins.
