I think I remember seeing that someone filled one of these with silicone a while back and said it worked great that would probably take care of the loose latch

Yeah thats fine always start with the least aggressive paper you can use that still works once it dries. If you still want to keep going while you are painting try 500 or 600 wet paper once its dry enough to sand and then blend it in with base. 1500 may be a little too soft but work backwards...

I did it on my buildoff boat i used a superjet pump section and glassed it in to the fx1. Same pump and shoe as blaster but you still have to use the fx1 driveshaft

THe parts pete listed are not the same thing those are parts for a ski boot. Wha pete has is lised at the very bottom of this page the rear toe assembly. you can also get them with a bottom plate on a different page...
