Why would bushings make it get loose? It is the nut that holds the plate on that makes it loose. Cold-Fusion also sells a slick locking nut so it will never loosen on you.
I've been running a CF riserbar set up for over 2 years and it never loosened on me with the locking nut.
That is one thing I miss about the SJ. Once you got used to it, it was nice to brace your leg against the gunwhale top. I should add some turf to the top of mine to make it higher.
I'm running a b-pipe and a stock gas tank. How are you guys preventing it from rotating while you ride.
I have tried turfing the floor under the tank, but that didn't help. Wedging a brick of turf/padding between the side of the tank and the pipe chamber helps, but I don't like pushing the...
I ran the 1" plush Hydro-Turf underpadding on my SJ. After 4 seasons there were not any indentations to be found, and I rode in foot straps with my feet in the exact same position during every single ride.
Un clip start/stop switch wires inside engine compartment.
Disconnect throttle cable from throttle.
Discontent stressing cable from steering plate and from clip where it gets held into the pole
S/S switch stays with pole, steering and throttle stay with ski.
Did you cut the heads of the...
I had the exact same thing happen on my WDK bracket. It was that aluminum plate on the inside that caused so much of the corrosion.
Yes it is normal to have stainless bolts going into aluminum.
You should have used anti-seize rather than red loctite.
Cut heads of the bolts off from the...
Double box it. Motor goes in smaller box, then place that box in a slightly larger box. Each box gets packing peanuts.
I loved it when DHL did domestic shipping, they were always cheapest. Since then, I've only done UPS.
Ummm... you also have a 145 mag... haha
Drivetrain felt fine when it was in the SJ, but I think maybe the larger pump shoe/intake track in the FR2 is loading it up more?
I also want to switch to a less aggressive scoop grate (more for sliding/slashing) but that may help also. But one thing at...
I honestly don't think it is. The carb is dialed in very well (we spent some time a few weekends ago doing that when the surf was tiny).
It feels like there is just too much water for the prop to initially spin up, but once it breaks free after like 1/2 second its fine and feels great...
Yup. makes sense. What I was originally trying to achieve was the same amount of water my engine had flowing through it when it was in the SJ hull, which was 3/8".
No I am not. I have 3/8" coming off the head...
I just figured I needed to lessen the water going into the engine. I just got off the phone with Art. He said he is re designing those quick disconnect restrictors. Said they will be available at the end of the month.
Also talked to him about...
So my engine runs way too cool. I ride 95% in the California surf. Water coming out of the bypass fittings is only warm... maybe 70-80 degrees.
I have 1/2" ID cooling coming from the pump, 1/2" ID through the bulkhead, and 1/2" ID on my manifold. Running dual cooling.
I want to restrict...
