Before you open your wallet do a search or tunning b-pipes and water routing. You might be able to get more out of what you have. Also a skat swirl will do you a solid.

that's a great deal for a CA ski. I know a few guys out your way that would have paid closer to 2k for something like that local to them in CA. Good deal nice ski. Those protec pipe make nice power too.

check your fuses too and bring extras. OHHH and don't forget to use your saltwater powerbands.

I use engine paint from the auto parts store it comes in every color you could want. I clean the motor with parts cleaner and wire brush then acetone, mask off what i want to protect then go to town with the color. My oldest build I painted has about 5 seasons on it and still looks great.
