    n'everstarts are hit or miss I guess. I had one go a couple of years in my old sit down, but two in a row crapped out within weeks in the stand up. Second time I didn't even bother with a warranty claim.

    When very old the hardener actually turns red, so your work comes out pink. West says its still ok to use, if you don't mind the color.

    The only time I've got good results with rattle cans is when the job is big enough to start with a fresh can for each coat. No matter how I've tried to clean the nozzle the spray pattern is shot on the second or third use.. Whats the secret..?

    D-Cutting a stock plate tonight... tips?

    The fx1 plate is pretty weak to begin with. I reinforced mine by epoxying aluminum plates between the ribs. (caught it before it cracked all the way). I think if you D cut it some reinforcement would be a must. BTW Anyone have a fx1 plate (stock or otherwise) for cheap let me know..

    Careful with the heat though - over do it and the stuff gets brittle and cracks. (Cut some scraps and experiment with the heat gun first..)
