for those of you who do not know the Great Lakes, this is a killing bunch of pictures to check out... up to 25' wave heights.

wow, sorry to hear of the problems you are having. I have one of the original footrockets shipped into the states... so far I have not had one issue with mine. lawn darts into the sand bar etc... not one crack anywhere. build went great.
I heard that Krash has some issues when they relocated...
The time sert is tapered so that when you use the installation driver tool it will expand the lower part of the threaded insert. That bites into the existing hole so it will never come out.
So the installation tool is unique to time sert... you also need the counter bore bit to allow the top...
I do not like helicoils... looks up time sert https://www.belmetric.com/timesert-thread-repair-%C3%82%C2%AE-c-217.html?utm_source=msn&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=timesert%20com&utm_campaign=bel_metric_jf
these will not pull out. I've used them in stripped out motor mount inserts as well as pump...
this thread got me wanting to throw in some old vids
all my crazy friends 1, 2 & 3
the Fullgaz dvd
Freeloaders (friggin killer video) - damn I miss seeing Joe Kenney ride
Coastal Rage
I think I have a few more hanging around somewhere - the good old days.
three years ago I went from a Solas 144 to a prototype Torrent 148 in my FootRocket W/Dasa 850.
1. Huge improvement on power delivery to the water - flat water flips were much improved - and made my 850 feel like a bigger motor.
2. Way better hookup in sloppy surf conditions
I'm still running...
I've ridden my foot rocket in the ocean surf and it was perfect (for me). I primarily ride on Lake Erie though... so even though we get waves that can be chest to double overhead high, it's not true SURF.
I will say however, if I lived on the ocean, I would likely have a Predator...
