Stock 66e vs mod 760 (opinions wanted)

my new pipe will clear the oem sj tank, a much needed option. I'm only about 20-25 min on a kart tank. I'll be able to do this because my octane hull is wider at the bond line. since you are running a conversion you might be able to run your tank or chamber in a higher position

Stock 66e vs mod 760 (opinions wanted)

a friend of mine made his own manifold and used a seadoo aftermarket pipe chamber. he told me it hit just as hard as his speedwerx twin pipe, top rpm was a little less (but who cares)

Stock 66e vs mod 760 (opinions wanted)

wd conversion puts the motor upright and uses the factory motor mount location of a 701. It uses the same couplers you are running now. His pipe will fit that or if you do it the way i did it the pipe will also fit. Look at squids 1200 build it shows the 1200 which has the same 66e cases and...

Stock 66e vs mod 760 (opinions wanted)

you can get a stock pump to hook up with a 80mm 66e, you will need around a 15/20 or 16/21 prop, you start adding mods like big bore, high compression, etc. you'll need a mag or else you have to start custom bending props to get the high pitches you'd need to run. Derick from the ski clinic...

    SD 951 as a freeride/freestyle motor

most of the water ingestion problem stemmed from the leaky gasket from the manifold to the head pipe. It would shoot a stream of water into factory airbox. In addition alot of the xp's had water injection problems from water entry around the front storage tray and intake tube. I don't think...

    Pissers sputtering?

get a new gasket before you take the old one apart. The head is very easy to remove, do you have a oem head or aftermarket head?

    Pissers sputtering?

if they are sputtering under power you probably have a leaky oring or head gaskets, compression is getting in to the cooling jackets

How to repair a cranckshaft rod

it wont bend again unless more water enters. I wouldn't do it on a high dollar stroker motor, aftermarket cylinder, etc. but if funds are limited and you want to get back on the water, i wouldn't hesitate. Say it does bend again , it doesnt really hurt anything internally, not a big risk...
