i didnt feel there was a need, i've run 8mm lameys with less and had no problems, I'm not convinced there wasn't another factor involved in rotation's blow up.
Things just don't run well at high altitude unless you plan for it. I went up there thinking it will run close enough,I was wrong, its amazing how much power you can lose if you dont raise your compression. Beautiful lake and nice weather made the late night drive home worth it.
All Neil's...
new motor mounts are in. they are gp800 mounts that have had the base shaved down to about half the width. You can see a pic comparing the two. Lots more rubber to hold down that big motor now.
i know for sure he talked to ed about them, the throttle plates have worn the throttle bodies to a point they cant even be bored larger. He's just trying to help because he almost bought them but ed told him about them.
crap. i bet the crank finally went. this would be season 4 on it. I had lots of hours on that one, hopefully chuckies sleeves and cases are okay. the sleeves are R&D big bores you have lots of bores left. Chuckie said to get the 760 wiseco yamaha pistons, non flat top.
Here's a short video of us breaking it in. We are not letting the motor rev too high or getting crazy with it until the weekend. Had to stay dry to go back to work after lunch break. This motor hits like a freight train, i'm eager to get it dialed in better as it is not prop'd or completely...
flash you need to do another build, i need some more inspiration. I have video of todays test but its boring, motor breaking in and we cant jump the ski until i get my beefy motor mounts in. Not to mention we were in our clothes and didnt want to get wet over lunch break.
Luke and I ended...
theres a lip on the opposite side of the intake, your sleeves will hit them, remove it. Notice how when the reeds are in the case they block the boost port, run a spacer to pull them out of the way
you'd think an engine builder as prominent as yourself would notice a hole in a case. You claimed you opened up the exhaust side because your software told you it wasnt big enough.
