the liner works as a baffle and because the hoses come up above the liner a bit, it directs water off the back and the tube pick up air. You wont find a competitive freestyle ski without a hood liner.
Its a cool car,not a show car but a nice unmolested original. It has rough paint but all the good pieces are there and its has the original motor. I've wanted one since high school. I've already dug into it to get it on the road. It needs a few suspension, brakes and driveline maintence items...
Theres a guy in our area filling up containers with 4stroke runabouts and sending them to brisbane. I"d like to know what it cost to ship a container there. Send skis over there and bring back new x2's
skywalker, chad and i still play the original motorstorm1 online, anybody else out there, if so, send a friend request to superramjet and we'll get some racing on
Chad has done a beautiful job, that ski was a rough dog when he got it, the hood he cut up was a repop of a 24-7 hood that someone gave me to cut up and use as a plug for an new octane hood.
something aftermarket is going on there, the bottom appears to be fiberglass, oem gp hulls are not glass. Its hard to tell but the pump tunnel looks glass not smc.
plus the extra motor mount location on the gp hulls uses the same front mount not rear like this one
