@SXIPro Thank you Buddy!
@Sparkplug Thank you Buddy!
I love all you guys and gals, and since he is local I look forward riding with @Sparkplug someday. Even though I suck as a rider.
To @Sparkplug and to everybody else. I really appreciate your contrarian view. I like to hold the object...
SXIPro thank you for the photos!
Are they ABS (which I don't know if fiberglass will adhere to?)
Or are they fiberglass?
Are those screws or rivets holding the footholds in? And did you glass over them?
Did you consider and reject the Tom21 footholds before installing the Water Craft Factory...
Man this stuff is complicated... I think we will just go ride today and practice just to absorb it all.
We got to ride with FX1Dave wavewarrior last Saturday. He is a man with impressive riding talent and few words. But I got a tip about skiing faster and also pressuring and angling the rear...
It's a "Block Stock."
So, it looks stock to me until I get closer.
My stock rails are not covered, so to keep it looking stock, I agree, don't turf the rails.
The graphics turned out great!
Flash-FX: I revisited your build thread. But didn't you install a 144mm pump not a 140mm pump?
https://www.x-h2o.com/threads/fx1-144mm-bottom-replacement.9841/page-7
Is the SXR800 pump 140mm? Oops! Answered by Kevbo above.
And hey all you guys who changed out your pump, do you have a...
My guess is that the stock SXR800 impeller will not fit into a stock FX-1 122mm pump?
Will it fit into a 144mm 650 pump?
Why did they make the 1994-1995 FX-1 with a 122mm pump?
According to the manual, even with the smaller pump the FX-1 is faster with the smaller pump than the 1994-1995 SN...
Hmmm... I have allot to consider.
I do know that @Flash-FX and @FX1Dave / @wavewarrior are running the stock pump.
So, I may wait until I can ride as well as them before I mod the pump.
Thank you! You have a different hood than the oem which I have. Your connection to the front bulkhead is where FX1Dave attached his. Makes sense.
What are you doing to prevent it from sliding sideways?
Diameter of the FX-1 Factory Pipe stinger is 2 inches. Not sure about the water box diameter. Not sure about the length or angle of bend yet.
FX1Dave / wavewarrior says just to cut my existing hose and, in fact, that is what the Factory Pipe instructions say to do. But I am a little bit of a...
Just bought the gaskets from @SUPERJET-113.
BTW, he has a robust multi-use carb gasket which is helpful for re-jetting where you may have to remove the carb multiple times to get it tuned just right.
Still need the hose going from the Factory Pipe FX-1 pipe to the FX-1 oem water box.
Any ideas?
I will need to buy the following items to install the Factory Pipe original FX-1 B-Pipe (the one with the water separator dimple) which I bought from Flash-FX * here.
Any suggestions where I can find these items?
1. The hose going from the Factory Pipe FX-1 pipe to the FX-1 oem water box...
What is the BEST IMPELLER for a 1995 Yamaha FX-1 61x 701 engine with a single SBN44 carb with the original Factory Pipe made for the FX-1 ?
And what is the best impeller removal/installation tool/socket for this purpose?
