I usually don't do onsite repairs either , you can never have enough parts to finish the job. I will post pics from yesterday escapades in the what does your view look like today thread .
I winterized two skis for $125.00 each, it took me about 30 minutes and the guys mother brought me out two...
These are the only reasonably priced torsion half axles I have seen , dayum they are expensive !
That is a really good deal for axles with hubs and bearings though...
Pride in workmanship , I am old school , if you wouldn't sign your name on it to let the whole world know that you did it then don't let it leave your shop till you can.
Damn interesting concept but I want to build a ground loading PWC trailer. some Shorelandr trailers already have the torsion axles installed on them.

I don't think people realize the skill level needed to do tricks like the Australian backwards barefoot trick , I have done it before along with barefooting off the side of the ski , it doesn't require $30-50 thousand dollar skis , just a decent running ski and some degree of skill .
I have used some in the past on both my Black and Decker and my Hitachi stuff with varying results , I don't think they hold up as well as OEM batteries do so you have to do the math, if they are less than half the price and last over half as long you are still good moneywise. I looked the other...

If I was working on this ski the first thing I would do is put a known good battery in it ...
A stator is a coil of wire with a magnet spinning around it , the faster it spins the more voltage it produces , it spins much faster with the plugs out than it does with them installed.
I went with the simpler is better approach , I just put parchment paper down and taped over the hole , then I flipped the ski over.
I used a mixture of chopped up carbon fiber and epoxy resin to fill in the hole , basically Tiger hair but with carbon fiber , then laid a layer of fiberglass on...
It could be worse , this guy is giving us this one , I am pretty sure the tubes are toast and from what I understand it can be run without them.
It's just going to be something to run up and down the Coosa river on anyway.
I told Doug we need to take those his and hers toilets off the back...
While I was at it and had everything mixed up I went ahead and glued up the reducer to the bulkhead , looks just like Cinnabon icing but not nearly as tasty.
Once it kicks I will sand it , probably glue it from the inside then put a few layers of glass on it , then we can see about glassing...
