today i ran glazing putty up and down the bottom of the hull hitting all the abused area. i'm going to wait til tomorrow to let it harden and set before i sand it a bit. it has a VERY strong smell so when you work with it make sure you're in a well ventilated area :cat40: tonight im planning on...

oh good idea. i was thinking either doing that or glassing the seams from the other side of the firewall once my foam is out...definitly easier from inside the hull though haha

reinforced the other side and IMO looks and feels much better than the side i laid last night.

that's what i was afraid of..i laid it with the smoother stitched side to hull and the grainy glass side up. will it not bond strong enough like that? redo?

Haha thanks, my mom keeps everything super green. I laid two layers of my 12 oz biax last night on one side and i think it turned out pretty good. I was alittle nervous about the whole process but it's alot easier than I made it out to be :biggrin: After I made my template I noticed a little...

here's the bottom of the hull and some cracks that i'm going to touch up. my reinforcement materials didn't get here til later last night and since my presence was so eagerly requested by some ladies i didn't get to lay any of it :biggrin: i'm going out now to sand the last little bit of foam...

note to everybody = wear good full face tight googles when you sand down the foam :smile: i went overkill when i foamed the bondline and i spent too much time this morning with my angle grinder sanding it down flat..my bad :cheer: i'm not totally done sanding it yet but the extra 3 inches I...

Last night I filled the bond lines with foam. I made sure I put extra on there so when i sand I can get a nice flat surface for when I lay the biax. All my reinforcement stuff should be delivered today so I hope to lay one side today and do the other tomorrow. :biggrin:
