Yeah I figured. Better torque to get you going again, and top end is pointless in freestyle I'm sure. I'm the n00b that has yet to even be on a ski. I have a thread going in general about it, so sad to say I'm still pretty new at this whole thing.

Anybody have any pics of these? I searched this thread but couldn't find em. Heck, even a cell phone pic of it on your ski is good, just so I have an idea.

Correct me if I'm wrong...because it seems to happen more frequently than I care to admit...but wouldn't you lose top end by doing this?

I seriously plan on taking somebody up on the offer. I'll ride Rich's SXR (Jetaddict) and see how that goes, but I'd like to get on...

That sounds like a good deal, but I'll prob end up with something newish. '05 or newer.

Yeah, that is a very good point. If the sxr is more stable I may go that route, or at least really consider it. I'm 6' even and about 200 I think.

Hey everyone! I am moving to the Tampa Bay area from boring crappy Iowa, so I figure it's time to get into jet skiing. I have literally zero experience on them, so I was curious where I should start. I kind of want a couch, but I hear those get boring quickly...is that true for most of you...

Aah, my bad. Good luck with it! I think myself and about 10 others would love to hear what it is if you get it fixed. I know I'm curious/stumped.

Here is a diagram of the carb http://www.tripleateam.com/water/d/64218-1/Keihin+Throttle+Position.jpg I see a filter in there that could be clogged (water or just gunk from 2 years of running) as well as a fuel chamber that may have water in it. Rebuild kits are around $35, might consider...
