yea... acorn nuts are definately the way to go. i originally tried welding the sides of the nut to the washer, but it turned out to be way too bulky. :thinkerg: The best way to do it is to just set the nut in the washer hole and weld it from underneath, then grind off the slag (excess weld)...

the acorn nut allows you to weld it to the washer without seeping molten hot metal into the threads of the nut and it also stops the bolt once it has reached maximum depth so you don't keep tightening it into your boat. now you know... :biggthumpup:

there is a good thread about how to install foot straps without drilling into your ski. I used this technique and it works well. Most of the riders use the straps for surf riding, having one in front of the tray and one near the rear. I personally prefer having the straps serve the same...

ExoticSigns.com has multiple patterns and color choices. If you choose to go with a flashy pattern it gets more expensive, but for standard text and numbers its like $25 for a set. You can also slant the text and numbers if you wish. What I like about them is that they can send you a color...

Looks good. I did the same install to my SJ, just not surf stance. I used 5200 and it has held up so far. Yours ought to be fine.

:fingersx: Heres the deal, I got around to putting in the bilge fitting outlet and decided to take it through the dash. I cant completely returf the ski until I could come up with the money. Now I have the hole drilled through the dash, but the plastic stock dash that comes on the SJ's is not...
