    no way... that stuff is strong, but not strong enough for this. You'll need some metal on metal to bring it out. welding the nut to it will work, no doubt.

    if you go this route rememer that the splash of the weld will definately do some harm to the hull, wires and hoses. before they go to welding on it make sure some leather or a few layers of cotton are covering up anything and everything you dont want to have to replace. Good idea though...

    i'm not sure if there would be a difference in stress on the knee, but if your considering straps rather than holds they dont have to be in surf stance. mine are side by side in the back of the tray (trying to serve the same purpose of holds), but with them being that way i dont really see how...

    x2 this will get you a great jump start on things rather than having to buy new then dump money into parts to get it running how you like. Anyone know if that '03 SJ on ebay located in southern california sold. That would be an excellent set up for this guy.
